Mr. Alhassan joined GCB Capital Ltd as a Non-Executive Director. He is a seasoned Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) executive with 20+ years of experience across West, East, and Southern Africa, delivering strategic leadership, sustainable business growth, and strong credit risk oversight. Mr. Alhassan also serves on the Board of GCB Bank   PLC as an Executive Director responsible for Wholesale & Investment Banking (WIB). With over a decade in senior management roles, he brings on board a proven track record of developing high impact growth strategies, leading multicultural teams, and originating and executing complex financing transactions across diverse sectors.

He has successfully led large banking divisions, restructured business units for improved efficiency, driven significant balance sheet growth, and built high performing teams that consistently exceed targets even in challenging macroeconomic environments. His expertise spans corporate financing solutions, credit risk, restructures & recoveries, strategy execution, stakeholder management, and CIB product delivery across multiple African markets. He holds advanced degrees in Development Studies and Economics.
